Mark has been described as an "exceptional talent" by his teacher and mentor Dr. Peter Bagley. He is fast gaining a reputation for compelling and innovative musicianship and leadership. Mark has served on the choral music faculties at the University of Connecticut and Central Connecticut State University. He has also served as Artistic Director of the Vernon Chorale. In addition to Voce, he currently serves as Choir Master of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Chorus, Director of Music at Immanuel Congregational Church in Hartford, and Director of Orchestras at the Chinese Church Music Institute in Louisville, KY and San Francisco, CA.

Mark holds an undergraduate degree in Cello Performance and Church Music from William Jewell College and a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Connecticut. He has pursued additional conducting studies at the Robert Shaw Festival, the Dennis Keene Choral Festival and the Conductors Institute of South Carolina. His principal conducting teachers for choral conducting include Dr. Peter Bagley, Charles Bruffy and Larry Allen, and Dr. Philip C. Posey for orchestral conducting.
Mr. Singleton has served as guest clinician and conductor for festivals and workshops throughout the greater New England area and has conducted choruses throughout the United States and abroad. Most recently, Mr. Singleton gained international acclaim after his invitation to prepare the National Symphony and Symphony Chorus of Beijing, China in Verdi’s "Requiem."
